Changchun, capital of Jilin province, has recently upgraded its tourism attractions and launched new traveling products to attract visitors and promote the city to become a key travel destination in Northeast Asia.

Upgrading tourist attractions

Changchun World Sculpture Park was listed among the 5A scenic spots recently and features various of sculptures.

Changes to the park benefit from the construction of tourism standardization.

"Improving the construction of tourism standardization can both promote the city image and realize the transformation of the city economy," said Qu Xiao, director of the Changchun Tourism Administration.

"Changchun concerns more about the important role the tourism industry plays in promoting the transformation and upgrading of industries, and building Changchun into a center city in the northeastern region."

Promoting new tourism modules

This year, the Changchun Tourism Administration has actively integrated local tourism resources and launched various spring tourism products, including diversified traveling routes and preferential policies to support tourism.

To date, Changchun has transformed from the sightseeing tourism module into a new traveling type integrating leisure, vacationing, and visiting.

Film culture, the automobile industry, Manchu relics, ice and snow natural resources, and hot springs are all included in the tourism brands of Changchun.

Furthermore, several tourism activities such as hot air balloon competitions, forest hiking contests, and camping are also popular among tourists.

"We will enrich Changchun's tourism products and promote more tourism brands to attract people to visit Changchun and improve the tourism economy of the city," Qu added.
