In daily life, there are not few situations where a person suffers damage in the course of preventing and deterring the infringement to another person’s rights and interests. To promote the good social value and encourage and support the noble spirit of self-sacrifice, according to the provisions of Tort Liability Law, if a person suffers damage in the course of preventing and deterring the infringement to another person’s civil rights and interests, the tortfeasor shall bear responsibility. If the tortfeasor flees or is in no capacity to assume liability and the victim seeks compensation, the beneficiary shall make reasonable compensation.
