SPC and SPP release interpretation on protection of personal information

China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC) and Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) issued an interpretation on several issues in the application of law in the handling of criminal cases involving infringement of citizens’ personal information in a press conference on May 9.

The interpretation stipulates the standards of conviction and punishment in a comprehensive way. Spokespersons for the SPC and SPP and other officials attended the conference.
