At the invitation of Swedish Institute of Growth Policy Studies (ITPS), Norwegian Foreign Affairs Department and Maersk Group, Mr. Zhang Yutai, DRC Vice President, led a 7-person DRC delegation (Mme. Sun Lanlan, DG of International Cooperation Department, Dr. Ding Ningning, DG of Research Department of Social Development, Dr. Li Zhijun, DDG of Department of Techno-Economic Research and other DRC researchers and officers including Dr. Wang Liejun, Dr, Dai Jianjun and Mr. Feng Wei) to visit three Nordic countries—Sweden, Norway and Denmark on June 13-22, 2007. The delegation visited the Swedish Department of Education and Science, Department of Social Affairs, ITPS, the Norwegian Department of Environment, Department of Petrol and Energy, the Danish Department of Energy, Research Center of Social Vulnerability and had discussions with these organizations on issues of social security, clean energy and renewable energy, etc. The delegation also called on the Chinese Ambassadors in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Dr. Ding Ningning gave a speech on issues of social and economic development in China for the officials the Chinese Embassy in Demark.
