On August 2, Mr. Zhang Yutai, President of DRC, met with a delegation of South Center led by Mr. Benjamin William Mkapa, its Chairman of the Board, and the former President of Tanzania. Mr. Mkapa and his delegates briefed Mr. Zhang Yutai on the overview of South Center and its ongoing research projects, and extended their willingness to conduct joint research with DRC in the topics of mutual interests. Mr. Zhang Yutai welcomed the proposal for future cooperation between DRC and South Center. Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director-General of DRC’s International Cooperation Department, Mr. Ge Yanfeng, Director-General and Ms. Zhang Jiahui, Assistant Research Fellow from Research Department of Social Development, and Mr. Zhang Hongfei, Program Officer of International Cooperation Department of DRC, were present at the meeting.
