Chen Huanting, a student of Taipei University of Technology, attended a dinner at the banquet hall on Aug 9. The food choices included litchi pork and layer cakes. Chen commented that the food suited her taste since Fujian and Taiwan share similar cuisines.
Chen is on her first trip to the Chinese mainland and she expects to make new friends here. She also remarked that she was impressed by the accommodation, saying “the dorm room is clean, the workers are warmhearted, and the movie theater and supermarket are very nice”.
The dormitories are located to the east of the conference center, offering convenience for participants. It houses a total of 1,008 beds in 487 rooms inside two main buildings.

The cultural quarter is located to the south of the conference center, where traditional buildings with white walls and black tile roofs surround a lake. Supermarkets and banks have opened in the quarter, and more businesses are expected to move in soon.

Participants can also play basketball, go swimming and work out in the gym at the complex’s activity center.
