An exhibition showcasing China's transformation into a digitalized nation opened on Sunday in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province, on the sidelines of the second Digital China Summit.
More efforts are needed to make breakthroughs in core technologies, advance information infrastructure construction and provide further impetus to the digital transformation of industries, said a senior official at the Second Digital China Summit, which opened in Fuzhou, Fujian province, on Monday.
Fujian's digital economy recorded 1.42 trillion yuan in 2018, ranking it seventh nationwide, according to a white paper on China digital economic development and employment recently released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.
A consignment of goods which is transported by sea for five days from Yokohama in Japan, is put on a freight train at Xiamen, a port in East China's Fujian province, heading for Duisburg, Germany on April 10.
The second edition of Digital China Summit is slated to be held in Fuzhou, capital city of East China's Fujian province from May 6 to 8. The conference will have the following highlights, according to a press briefing on April 25.
Numerous business leaders of China's tech heavyweights including Ma Huateng, chairman and CEO of Tencent Holdings and Li Yanhong, CEO of Baidu Inc have confirmed attendance at the upcoming second Digital China Summit.
