North China science museum comes with special effects

When Inner Mongolia got its first and biggest ever robot technology carnival, in the region's science museum, in the city of Hohhot, on Dec 28, 2015, it used the museum's three cinemas to enhance the visual impact and make it more exciting for the visitors.

One of the local visitors, a Mr. Li, remarked, "The picture is so vivid, and the shaking seat made me feel that I was immersed in it," referring to the 4D effect, which adds things like lightning, thunder, blowing wind, or getting wet in the rain, to a 3D movie. Then it increases the effect by using electric controls for the seats synchronizing with the film, using technology for a greater impact.

The 4D theater uses the latest 3D glasses so the viewer's left eye sees only images to the left, and the right eye, images to the right, with a clear stereoscopic effect. The theater screen is 12 meters by 6.8 m, adhering to the highest international standards with a 4K-resolution screen, with 7.1 channels in a digital stereo surround system.
