Dual structure must end

Comment on "China widens pension coverage as population ages" (China Daily, July 1)

I am glad to see that China will provide pension insurance to all rural residents and unemployed citizens. It's not only a policy that aims to help the country cope with the aging issue, but also a policy that makes efforts to eliminate unfairness between urban and rural citizens. It's high time we broke the dual structure of urban and rural regions to make our society more equal and harmonious.
