Are women-only parking lots necessary?

Quite honestly, I find the concept ridiculous. Ok, it's true that some women are lousy at parking, but then, so are some men. It is far more common for a man to park at an angle, partly obstructing the space next to them. Women only spaces isn't a solution that will be helpful, it would marginalize women more and make men resentful of not being able to park if the only spaces are "women only". The best solution by far is to make all spaces better dimensions, so all people using them can have an easier time using them.
