Is Valentine's Day too commercial?

Valentine's Day has become very commercialized but that doesn't mean we should throw it out as a bad idea! It's one day when we get a good excuse to make time in our hectic lives to remember to tell people how much we love them. I've been telling my friends that today, as well as my boyfriend. It doesn't mean that I don't do it all year too but why not have one special day when we all show some extra kindness rather than all this cynicism.
