          Artist background
          


          After studying the French in China, Yao Zejun left for France and lived there for five years. He moved from Tours to Paris where he completed his studies in cinematography, via Chambéry, Poitiers and Clermont-Ferrand.
          


          In this exhibition, he leads us on a discovery of images and words from that period. Photographs were taken using different devices, from mobile phones to digital SLR cameras, recording all his adventures. The exhibition also includes texts, fragments of conversation and personal reflections from his time in France.
