Yancheng and Taiwan to form closer ties

Updated: 2009-11-10 08:56 YANCHENG: Closer ties will be formed to accelerate cooperation between Yancheng and Taiwan, according to Li Chi, deputy secretary of the Yancheng CPC committee. During the economic and trade fair held here last weekend, a forum was staged to exchange ideas and information in agricultural cooperation between the two sides. Over the past few years, experimental agricultural areas have been established in Yancheng to widen the scope of cooperation with the Taiwan agricultural sector, with substantial achievements made. Agreements on 25 projects were signed with a total investment of 3.187 yuan (US$468 million). |
