Covering 1,585 square meters of floor area, the church is 45 meters high with a cross-like cross section. The church, including the three towers in the front and at the back, is built of yellow and crimson bricks for the lower body and green ones for the vault. The interior of the church is magnificent with chromatic murals and arcaded semicircle windows. It is the largest of all Tianjin churches.
Minyuan Stadium
To meet the needs big sporting events, the British Municipal Council built one of the largest and most advanced stadium of the time at its concession in 1920, to what is now become the Minyuan Stadium. Sprinter Li Airui, gold medalist of Paris Olympic Games in 1924, once gave valuable suggestions on the construction of the stadium.
