Volkswagen Group showcases 7 passenger car brands at Auto China 2014

Volkswagen Group will appear at the 13th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2014), scheduled to open on April 21. Displaying 7 passenger car brands - Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche and Skoda - the Volkswagen’s booth, located in E5 Hall of China International Exhibition Center, will cover a total area of 9,568 square meters. It will present a splendid fleet of brand vehicles, including a number of heavyweight world and Asia premieres.

Volkswagen premieres a record five new models

Volkswagen’s booth, located at E5 Hall on an area of 3,902 square meters, will show a powerful line-up of 37 star models from Shanghai Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen and Volkswagen Group Import Cars.

Among them, five debuting models will demonstrate Volkswagen’s commitment and actions in improving the present, exploring the future, and seeking sustainable development.

Volkswagen will present a world premiere of the New Touareg at Auto China in Beijing with a gorgeous and luxury appearance，which is expected to amaze consumers in terms of both visual impact and driving enjoyment.

Shanghai Volkswagen will unveil an all-new concept car that will offer exciting look at the future of automotive design through its novel construction and elegant sportiness.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Golf, Volkswagen will globally premiere two breakthrough Golf concepts, a special model of the Golf R series showcases potential of the future Golf model series, and a 40th anniversary edition tailored by FAW-Volkswagen especially for Chinese consumers.

Moreover, Volkswagen’s new SUV model series, T-ROC will also make its Asia debut at Auto China 2014.

“Vision to reality, bringing future mobility to you”: Volkswagen’s electric mobility technology enters series production

Volkswagen Group is committed to providing consumers of today and tomorrow with feasible solutions for electric mobility for harmonious and sustainable development of people, vehicles and the natural environment.

At Auto China 2014, visitors will be able to get up-close to Volkswagen’s two latest plug-in hybrid models. One is the XL1, the most efficient of all production cars with a fuel consumption of 0.9/100 km, can also be driven for up to 50 kilometers locally in pure electric mode.

The other is the Golf GTE a new member in Volkswagen NEV’s family, which combines electric mobility and the dynamics of the GTI idea and can be driven up to 50 km in all-electric mode and up to 939 km in hybrid mode.

In addition, Volkswagen electric up! will also greet Chinese consumers. This pure electric four-seater, tailored for commuters, has a top speed of 130 km/h and a maximum range of 160 km.
