Shanxi culture feast

The Beautiful Shanxi Culture Park, in Pingyao, Shanxi province is undergoing final decoration and will be ready to open on National Day, along with related cultural events and activities and projects across the province.

The park is in the main exhibition area of the Pingyao International Photography Festival, on West St in the old city, 200 meters from the West Gate, on a 100,000–square-meter space and is a collection of cultural and beauties typical of Shanxi to give visitors a variety of experiences, with photography, folk music, songs, folk arts, and local specialties and cuisine.

It is designed to hold 200,000 visitors in its five sections -- local specialties, leather and fur clothing, Shanxi food, photography exhibits, and performing arts – and the province's Fenyang wine, red jujubes, sliced noodles, tofu cooked many ways, and local snacks are always available for visitors. And, the top works at the photography festival will always be on display, in case anyone misses the photography festival.

All activities in the park are organized by the Shanxi Photographers Association, Shanxi Daily, the Shanxi Science and Technology News Publishing and Communications Corp, and the Pingyao government.
