The logistics information platform for Lintong Industrial Park, in the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park (ITL), is based on the system connector of freight companies, freight forwarding service companies, industrial and commercial companies, the local location service center, and other government logistics departments and organizations, with the aim of exchanging and sharing logistics information.
The platform will also be able to offer services related to road freight information, information for safe road freight, logistics software, and digital waybill information for road freight, to lead the traditional freight industry in its transformation to a more modern model.
The platform will enjoy the advantages of proximity to the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park and downtown Xi'an, as well as convenient access to transportation due to the inter-city express highways and urban ring expressways, and it will be able to provide an information service for the park and the adjacent areas.
A new information processing center will also collect and release information concerning the weather, traffic, freight and vehicles. And digital screens will be installed along the main sections of the road to provide regular updates and to take other necessary measures for information management.
The platform has an investment totaling 300 million yuan ($49.02 million), and the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park will provide water, electricity, heating and other auxiliary facilities for the project.
It is expected to be completed in 36 months, with an expected average return of investment rate of about 8 percent and a payback period of three to five years.
Companies are welcome to take part in the project's construction and operation by investing, cooperation, or BT (Build Transfer).
