The Discover Weifang media trip was held from July 1 through 5. The trip, organized by China Daily and the Publicity Department of the CPC Committee of Weifang, attracted reporters from nearly 20 overseas media outlets, including The Straits Times, The Star, Nepali Times, Inter Media Japan, United Daily News and Balochistan Point.
Jointly organized by China Daily and the Shanxi Provincial Tourism Bureau, more than 500 applicants from about 40 countries vied to join the tours. Forty-eight were selected, to take part in three themed tours. China Daily also sent staff from different departments on the trips, led by senior photographer Wang Wenlan.
From May 28 to 31, 2014, China Daily in conjunction with the Publicity Department of CPC Committee of Zhangjiagang organized a trip of the city known for its long and rich history.

The 2014 Disvovering Taiyuan Trip, which is hosted by China Daily, visits Taiyuan city, Shanxi province, from May 25--28. The journalists and photographers of the trip pay visits to traditional attractions such as the Jinci Temple, the Mengshan Mountain Giant Buddha, as well as the Tianlong Mountain Grottoes......
