Colorful tree bark painting tells ancient legend

A 15-meter-high locust tree which has part of the bark hulled, was painted by professional tree bark painters, beautifying the park in which it stands. The painting tells the legend of Dong Yong and the beautiful Seventh Fairy Maiden's love story, as the place is the hometown of Dong Yong. The painting has attracted citizens' attention, and spread online through their photos. The legend of Dong Yong was listed in the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in 2006. Besides, the stone blocks, stone pillars and small houses in the park are also painted with colored drawings.
