Wang Jing, a sound engineer, has his own company but his big hobby is ham radio. He lives in a Hutong and set up a radio antenna on the roof of his house. He said one of the reasons he likes to live in the Hutong is that he can't put the radio antenna in other places. He has a room for talking on his radio and another room for DIV, his radio gear. Through the radio he makes friends around the world and really enjoys the friendship he has with other radio amateurs.
In 2008 he joined in the relief effort for the Wenchuan earthquake with his radio friends. He thinks ham radio is not just a hobby but also can be used to help other people.
