Tattoos uncovered

Tattoos are a very personal form of art. Their true meanings are only known by the artist and the person whose body becomes the canvas.

Despite the time and effort that goes into creating such unique works, many people around the world don't appreciate tattoos for their artistic value. Some even tend to judge those who sport tattoos as bad people, menaces to society.

But that type of thinking is changing not only in the western world, but right here in China. Beijing is at the heart of that change.

We sat down with two Beijing tattoo artists and one professor to see how the tattoo industry is changing and how mainstream acceptance is growing with it.
