          ( 2003-08-15 10:19) (Agencies)

AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko heads a 24-man Ukraine squad for next week's friendly against Romania.

Ukraine coach Leonid Buryak also called up two newcomers, Dynamo Kiev midfielder Oleg Gusev and Metalurg Donetsk winger Serhiy Tkachenko, for the friendly on August 20 in Donetsk.

The game will serve as the final tune-up for both teams for their respective Euro 2004 qualifiers.

Ukraine, who are in third place behind surprise Group Six leaders Greece and Spain, host Northern Ireland on September 6 before visiting Spain four days later. Romania also play on the same dates.

The Romanians, who are third in Group Two, host Luxembourg before taking on group leaders Denmark.
