Nothing to worry about at Manchester United, says Barthez
          ( 2003-09-05 07:31) (Agencies)

France goalkeeper Fabien Barthez is refusing to worry about his situation at Manchester United despite not having played for the English champions so far this season.

Barthez, 32, has been usurped at the premier league club by new American signing Tim Howard and also by second-choice keeper Roy Carroll.

"When you're a young player, you always say it's the coach's fault," Barthez said on Thursday at the French training camp in Clairefontaine, before France's Euro 2004 qualifier against Cyprus on Saturday.

"I'm in a great club with a coach I respect 200 percent. There has been no discussion between Alex Ferguson and me. I don't see the point of such a discussion," he added.

"I'm not playing, that's the way it is. I keep working and I don't want to go anywhere else. What do you want me to do? Go away and cry about my situation?

"Ferguson is the boss, he decides. I don't have the right to say who's right and who's wrong," he said.

Asked about his status in the French team, where he could lose his place if he does not secure a regular club place, Barthez said: "We'll see in two or three months. Right now, there is nothing to be worried about."
