China welcomes suggestions on reform and developing of finance
          ( 2003-11-07 21:44) (Xinhua)

China welcomes suggestions on the reform and development of its financial sectors from experts around the world, Chinese Vice-Premier Huang Ju said Friday.

Huang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, made the remarks during a meeting with a dozen members of the International Advisory Council of the China Development Bank.

He said the financial sector will play an important role in China's ambitious plan to build a relatively well-off society and China needs the suggestions of international experts on the reform and development of the sector.

The vice-premier noted that the China Development Bank has made valuable exploration in its system reform, in supporting economic growth and marketing achievements, and will be an important force in supporting China's reform and economic growth.

Raymond Barre, former prime minister of France, and some other advisors said China's continuous and healthy economic development is very important to the world economy.
