Third SARS patient fully recoveres, leaves hospital
          ( 2004-01-21 16:35) (Agencies)

The third diagnosed SARS patientin Guangdong Province since this winter, surnamed Yang, has fully recovered and left the No. 8 People's Hospital in Guangzhou, the provincial capital, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the Xinhua News Agency reported

The 35-year-old businessman was the only one of the mainland's three reported cases who was still hospitalized.

Two other patients, a waitress and a television producer, were discharged in the past two weeks. SARS first emerged last November in southern China.

It killed 774 people worldwide last year and sickened more than 8,000 before subsiding in July.
