The 23-year-old singer has been taking some time out of late, but that doesn't mean the snappers have left her alone.

Instead, whether she stops for a pee at a service station, or nips into a store to buy some snacks - there is generally a photographer waiting around the corner.

This time though, there are pictures of Britney in a striking green bikini... and bless the bikini, it's struggling to keep Brit's new-found hefty bosom tucked in.

The now brunette star is also without her usual trademark toned belly - instead she looks like she might have put on a spot of weight - or is she just pregnant?

Rumours have been lingering for months about whether or not Britney is pregnant - and although it must be driving her mad, she only has herself to blame, after telling everyone and their dog of her plans for kids after she married Kevin Federline.

Recently the star has given up smoking and stopped dying her hair blonde - both signs many are taking to mean she's up the duff and American entertainment columnist Norm Clarke is adamant:

"Britney Spears... not a girl, soon to be a mommy. She's pregnant. Look for the announcement any day now," Teen Hollywood reports him as saying.

Back in January this year, Brit was spotted in a maternity and baby store browsing around - with reports emerging that she'd told staff there she was nine weeks pregnant.

In November last year, she wrote a hint on her official website that she was planning to become a mother:

"I've had a career since I was 16, have travelled the world and back and even kissed Madonna!

"The only thing I haven't done so far is experience the closest thing to God and that's have a baby. I can't wait!"

But it was in October last year that Brit first starting the gossip about her and motherhood.

After marrying Kevin she revealed: "I can't wait to start my family! There is so much change going on right now.

"So, the next time you see my face or I'm the topic of conversation, please remember that times are changing and so am I."

Perhaps Britney is just relishing taking time out of her career - and not visiting the gym or working out on strenuous dance routines - and instead is just filling out her curves a bit...
