          CEO summit

          The first CEO Summit of Boao Forum for Asia is to be held from November 19 to 21 in Shenzhen, the organizers announced yesterday in Beijing.

          More than 600 entrepreneurs from Asia and other parts of the world will attend the summit.

          The summit, with a theme of "global vision and challenges", will focus on hot economic issues, emphasize exchanges and co-operations between business leaders and stress substantive and pragmatic discussions.

          All-new Audi A4 series

          FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co Ltd, German Volkswagen's joint venture with China's First Automotive Works Corp (FAW), launched its all-new Audi A4 sedan series featuring four models this week in Beijing.

          The 1.8-litre turbo manual and 1.8-litre turbo automatic cost 275,400 yuan (US$34,042) and 302,400 yuan (US$37,379) respectively. The upgraded luxury 2.0-litre turbo FSI and 3.0-litre quattro tiptronic retail at 399,100 yuan (US$49,332) and 479,500 yuan (US$59,279).

          International disease symposium

          The first International Symposium on Collateral Disease Theory (CDT) was held recently in Beijing.

          The symposium, co-sponsored by the China Association of Traditional Medicine and Yiling Pharmaceutical Group, focuses on the latest advances in curing collateral disease.

          As an emerging medicine sector receiving increasing attention, the symposium attracted about 700 academicians from home and abroad.

          DHL supports culture event

          Deutsche Post World Net's logistics subsidiary is supporting a unique cultural event by providing transportation services.

          As one of three sponsors, DHL is handling the transportation of all equipment for the Nuremberg State Theatre's guest performance - Wagner's Ring cycle in Beijing.

          The musical instruments will be flown from Nuremberg via Frankfurt to Beijing. Fifteen containers filled with sets, costumes and props weighing about 100 tons will be transported to the Chinese capital.
