Before the game, Wizards coach Eddie Jordan introduced a "hustle board" to the Wizards locker room, in hopes of inspiring his team in aspects of the game besides scoring, and that seemed to have an impact. The board included deflections, charges drawn, offensive rebounds and steals.

The Wizards (14-19) finished with a 52-31 rebounding margin, and held the Hawks to a season-low point total for a Washington opponent. The Wizards also had 27 second-chance points.

Atlanta (9-24) scored on the game's first possession, but never led again. and then never led again as it lost to Washington (14-19) for the sixth straight time.

Jamison and center Brendan Haywood, the only two Wizards to start every game this season, were scratched from the Wizards' starting lineup 20 minutes before the game and replaced by Calvin Booth and Michael Ruffin.

Jamison, Washington's second-leading scorer at 18.7 points a game, entered the game six minutes into the first quarter. Haywood was one of two Wizards not to play in the first half, and he did not enter the game until more than five minutes had elapsed in the third quarter.

He finished with 10 points and five rebounds.

Taylor, a rookie from UAB, played a career-high 15 minutes and 19-year-old rookie forward Andray Blatche set career highs with nine points and seven rebounds.

Atlanta was playing its second game in two nights, after a tough 98-94 loss to Boston on Tuesday night. Royal Ivey led the Hawks with 11 points, and Zaza Pachulia added nine points and 10 reboudns.

Gilbert Arenas, the Wizards leading scorer, finished with only nine points, but he played a key role in a 7-0 run that gave the Wizards a 10-point lead late in the first quarter. Arenas had a layup, a free throw and an assist as the Wizards took a 21-11 lead with two minutes left in the first period.

Bosh leads Raptors over depleted Bobcats

TORONTO - Chris Bosh had 29 points and 10 rebounds and Mike James added 24 points for the Toronto Raptors in a 95-86 victory over the injury-ravaged Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night.

Morris Peterson had 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Raptors, who have won six of eight.

Jumaine Jones had 17 points for the Bobcats, who were missing Emeka Okafor (sprained ankle), Kareem Rush (sprained ankle), Sean May (sore right knee) and Melvin Ely (sprained ankle).
