Pistons hold Spurs to 83-68

The Spurs went 6-for-22 (27 percent) in the period, with Duncan missing all
five of his attempts, while the Pistons were 13-for-21 (62 percent).

Wallace and Carlos Delfino's corner jumper, to make it 37-17.
San Antonio finally established its inside game during a 14-4 run that cut
their deficit to 41-32 with about three minutes left in the half. Duncan had two
layups and Nick Van Exel hit a 19-footer and a layup.
Ben Wallace then got a tip-in and Hamilton passed to
Rasheed Wallace for a dunk as Detroit got its lead back to 12 points at the
half.
Lakers edge Cavaliers 99-98
LOS ANGELES - Kobe Bryant scored six of his 27 points in the final 90 seconds
including the go-ahead basket with 8.6 seconds left, and the Los Angeles Lakers
beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-98 Thursday night.
Bryant, who had scored at least 40 points in his previous five games,
sprained his right wrist in the second quarter, and sat out the first five
minutes of the fourth period before taking over in the late going.
X-rays of his wrist at halftime were negative.
Bryant's long jumper near the end gave the Lakers a 99-97 lead. Bryant then
fouled James with 5.2 seconds to play, and James made his first three throw
before missing the second.
Cleveland's Drew Gooden got the rebound, but after a timeout, James missed
from about 18 feet away as the buzzer sounded.
Lamar Odom had 20 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, Chris Mihm scored 15
points, and Smush Parker added 12 for the Lakers (19-17), who won for the fourth
time in five games.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 29 points and James had 28 points and nine assists
for the Cavaliers (20-13), who lost for just the fourth time in 13 games. Gooden
finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Luke Jackson added 11 points.
