The province is a leading producer of pork.Other popular native products include buffalos of Binhu,cattle of western Hunan and geese of ugang county.

Industry:Hunan is known for its rich mineral resources,which currently number 134. Specifically,it has the largest deposits of stibium and tungsten.In addition, its deposits of bismuth,rubidium,stone coal,eolite,bolognian stone,manganese, vanadium, arsenic,lead and zinc are also among the largest in China.
