Dalian development area eyes further progress

Dalian, known as a Pearl of Northeast China, has long been the pioneer of and a window to Northeast China's opening up drive.

Dalian Development Area is one the country's earliest areas opened up to outside world. Approved by the State Council in 1984, it is the first national-level economic development area of its like in China.

Up to date, 50 square kilometers has been developed in the area, housing more than 1,856 foreign invested enterprises from 42 countries and regions, including Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, United States, Germany, France and so forth.

Dalian Sanyo Cold Chain Co.,Ltd, a joint venture set up by Sanyo Electric Co.,Ltd., Dalian Bingshan Group and Sojitz Co., Ltd., specializes in developing and manufacturing supermarket showcases, freezing and cooling storage facilities foe kitchen, c-store equipment, refrigerated-warehouse blowers, drinks display cases, freezing and cold storage facilities for medical treatment.

Since the founding in 1994, it has kept the largest market share in its area for 10 straight years.

In Dalian Development Area, eco-agriculture has been fully developed.

Dalian Development Area passed ISO14000 Environmental Management System Certification in 1999, the first of its like in China.
