Lohan hit with subpoena on red carpet

Actress-singer Lindsay Lohan was presented with a subpoena Friday while walking down the red carpet at Hollywood's Annual American Cinematheque Award ceremony. At the event, which honored veteran actor George Clooney, the 21-year-old singer was approached by a woman who served her with a subpoena for a Las Vegas suit rather than ask for the singer's autograph, TMZ.com reported.

The Nevada lawsuit revolves around Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, who is facing
allegations she committed fraud, violation of contract and theft.

The suit claims the elder Lohan entered into a contract with Antonio Almeida and Mitchell Chait to manage her daughter's career, only to dump them in favor of Casablanca Records.

The Web site reported that Almeida and Chait's attorney, Charles Coate is set to seek the return of tens of thousands of dollars in allegedly borrowed funds to the Lohans, but confirmed that Lindsay is merely a witness in the case.
