DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Actor Tom Cruise has literally reached a pinnacle of his career in Dubai — dangling from the world's tallest building.
Cruise was spotted tethered to a line near the top of the nearly half-mile-high (828-meter-high) Burj Khalifa during stunt filming for the latest installment of the "Misssion: Impossible" series.
Local media reports on Tuesday included photos of the black-clad Cruise as he was striding over the front of the glass-and-steel spire on Monday.
The new film, "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" will prominently feature scenes from Dubai as well as Moscow and Vancouver. It's scheduled for release in December 2011.
