Exhibition highlights contributions of geological workers to the war

A thematic geological exhibition opened at the Geological Museum of China in Beijing on Wednesday, showcasing the crucial contributions of geological workers to the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

The exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the China Geological Survey, is divided into five sections. It utilizes geological survey data and historical materials to guide visitors on a journey back in time, reviewing the glorious path of geological pioneers who fought tenaciously and pursued scientific salvation for the nation.

A key part of the exhibition highlights the nationwide War of Resistance, where geological workers were crucial in supplying resources for relocated industries and the wartime economy. They intensified resource development, surveyed vital transportation routes, and explored essential resources like coal, oil, gas, and salt mines to support guerrilla warfare and bases behind enemy lines against Japanese aggression, laying a solid foundation for victory.

By showcasing these historical achievements, the exhibition aims to inspire the national natural resource system to continue the red lineage, uphold the fine traditions of patriotism, dedication, innovation, and hard work, and strive to write new chapters on the new journey ahead.
