The couple tied the knot on Sunday (09.09.12) in Charleston, South Carolina because it is one of Ryan's favourite towns and the couple worked with Martha Stewart Weddings to create their perfect day which included everything from a "heartfelt ceremony to [a] fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception".

According to Marthastewartweddings.com: "This past weekend, the Martha Stewart Weddings team was delighted and honoured to be part of the wedding of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively! Together with the couple and Tara Guerard of Soiree in Charleston, we worked to bring their vision to life.

"Ryan and Blake opted for an intimate, personalised party, gathering their immediate and extended family at a rustic barn in South Carolina. Ryan, who has been a long-time fan of Charleston, chose to mark this special occasion in one of his favourite towns.

"From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration."

Blake and her bridesmaids chose Marchesa gowns with Christian Louboutin shoes while Ryan and his groomsmen wore Burberry.

The website added: "The bride and her bridesmaids walked down the aisle in custom Marchesa gowns designed by Blake's friends, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, with shoes created for the celebration by Christian Louboutin. The groom and groomsmen wore specially made Burberry suits with custom leather suspenders designed by the groom's friend, Christopher Bailey. The couple exchanged unique wedding rings by Lorraine Schwartz."

The wedding will feature in the December issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine.
