Chiara Maria Sassu is an architect-turned-lifestyle blogger. Originally from Italy, she now calls Beijing her second home. In her blog, she writes about all the fun, chic and delicious things she has discovered while exploring the city on her bike. She tells China Daily about her blogging experience in China.

What made you decide to pursue a career as a lifestyle blogger?

I came to Beijing as an architect and the city put a creative spell on me. I ended up writing my own lifestyle blog, biking around with a camera in my bag and sunglasses on, setting out to find inspiring stories.

I have always had the dream of creating new ways to share my passions and the blog was a project I'd been mulling over for many years. When you browse through it, you will find other stories of people who have decided to follow their heart - each story on the blog is different, but they are always an amazing source of inspiration for me and I believe the same goes for my readers.

Which topics do you cover in your blog?

The blog is a global blog with an "eye" on China. I write about lifestyle topics and interesting people and stories. Of course, since I happen to live in China, I write mostly of things that happen here, but not necessarily. Since the launch of the blog, I have traveled to Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and Italy; and even if there is never enough time to do all the things I would like to do, at every destination I had the opportunity to write about amazing local people and their stories.
