Guangdong province is briefly named Yue, with Guangzhou as its provincial seat. Historically, Guangdong has been a booming commercial place. From Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty till the founding of the People’ s Republic China, Guangdong was all along the most economically developed province in China.
