Sino-German (Shenyang) Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Park

The Sino-German (Shenyang) Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Park is situated in Tiexi district, Shenyang (Shenyang Economic and Technology Development Zone), with a planned area of 48 square kilometers surrounding the BMW factory in Tiexi district.

Its four boundaries reach Central Street in the east, Hunhe River in the west, Dadi Road in the south and Shenliao Road in the north.

The core zone of the park will be 20 square kilometers with the initial construction covering 10 sq kms.

Strategic orientation

Based on local advantages, with the introduction of German expertise, the park will focus on innovative industrialization for manufacturing cooperation between China and Germany.

It will combine information with industry and is planned to become a pilot zone for "Made in China 2025" and "German Industry 4.0", a demonstration zone for innovative industrialization and a hub for the global equipment manufacturing industry.

Short-term objectives

The park plans to house of equipment manufacturing companies of international class and for companies with investment from Germany and the EU to account for more than 50 percent of those in the park.

The park is planned as an international equipment manufacturing cluster that is globally competitive.

There are plans for a communications mechanism and research organization for Sino-German industry to be established.

Smart manufacturing companies with self-development and research abilities and innovation are planned there.

In order to strengthen cooperation in development and research, personnel and finance between China and Germany, related projects are on the agenda including a Sino-German development and research center for applied technology, a Sino-German innovative educational base and a service center for Chinese and German companies.

Well-designed infrastructure and facilities in the park will be provided, such as smart communications; smart power grid; international hospital, school and community; and environmentally friendly ecology.

Long-term objectives

The park is planned as an integrated industry area that will include research and development, design, production and services for international manufacturing.

A number of local brands will be built into global ones in terms of laws and regulations, industry standards, technological development and research and electromechanical integration. As a result, the park will become a smart, green industrial city with creativity and influence.

Smart Manufacturing

The park will focus on industries such as smart equipment, industrial robots based on Industry 4.0 and the development of electronic products to answer demand from the BMW smart factory, such as those utilizing the Internet of Things, the Internet and sensors.

Advanced Equipment Manufacturing

The park will introduce and develop rail transit, numerically controlled machine tools and energy-saving industries.

It is geared to the needs of medium-sized enterprises with edges in technology, creativity and management.

Automobile manufacturing

The park will focus on the manufacturing of entire cars, as well as auto parts and engines. It will create a center for auto R&D, sales and design, which is available to all auto SMEs and suppliers.

Industrial service

The park will develop industries related to industrial production, such as applied development and research, industrial design, education and training, business affairs and exhibitions.

It will intensify aspects of medium and small enterprises, such as technological development and research, professional education, financial insurance and information platforms.
