The way to celebrate the International Women's Day
Women's Day marks the role of women in both the past and the present. However, the day is not a one-day routine. The real challenge lies in the spontaneous flow of feelings -- honoring and celebrating womanhood on a particular March 8 only to forget its importance the next day is sacrilegious.

Although the prayers for peace and gender equality have been ringing in the 21th century, there pravails such customs as "hornor killings" and "female circumcision" in some other local regions. These hideous traditions are unfortunately imprinted on the victims' memories, and meanwhile, they raise the alarm to the world that women issues are far from being addressed. In 1991, a handful of men in Canada launched the "white ribbon" camaign, which communicates the instimulating sign -- men are opposed to sone other men's violence against women.
21世紀的今天，世界和平、兩性平等已經深入到全人類最真誠的祈禱聲中… 可是，在世界的某些角落，依然存在著種種陋習--"女子割禮"，"榮譽殺害"--愚昧的風俗不僅僅在受害者心頭留下永遠的痛，也時時提醒著已經擁有幸福的男人和女人：我們應該關注女性問題，因為，只有當世界上所有女人都擁有平等的權利過著快樂生活的時候，世界才真正和平。1991年由一群加拿大男性倡議發起的“白絲帶”活動，就是關注女性、保護女性的最好例證。
