Words and phrases
1. Your words cut
rather deeply :
“你的話真的很傷人”。
Cut原意指“切、割、砍”，此處引申為“你的話令我‘心如刀割’”。
2. They're just some other lies
:“這只不過又是謊言?！?BR>
口語中，我們可注意短語some other的用法，比如，拒絕見面的推托之辭“We can
meet some other time.”（我們改天再見吧。）
3. a couple:
這里可不是指一對夫婦，而是“幾個人”
4. But somehow it gets to you: 這句話有兩種理解：
1〉“但不知怎么著你還是知道了（這些秘密）”
由于前句說“我真不知為什么，你總想知道我所有的秘密”，所以此處可理解為“你還是探到了我告訴給朋友的秘密”。不過，若這樣，it在此就應指代“secrets”，似乎不妥。
2〉“但不知怎么著卻惹了你”
短語get
to sb.在口語中常用來形容“惹怒某人，影響某人”，如Her constant nagging is beginning to get
to
him.（她不停地嘮叨，惹得他生氣起來。）在歌中，it可理解為“告訴朋友秘密這件事”，由此，“但不知怎么著卻惹了你”更符合歌者的原意。
4. And I swear you'll experience that some
day : “我發誓總有一天你會嘗到同樣的滋味。”
5. kinda: kind
of的縮略形式，在前幾首歌里如“Any man of mine”，我們已見過類似的表達。
6. You may think
that it's all forgotten:
“也許你想當什么事都沒有發生過”
這句話日常生活中肯定用得到，尤其當男孩子認錯不徹底時，女友十有八九會這么說。
