1. give somebody a break

意思是“給某人一個機會/一次優(yōu)待”。例如：I have to ask the teacher to give me a break, or else I'll certainly fail the exam. 我得求老師放我一馬，不然考試我肯定得掛。美國口語中常用的 Give me a break! 意思是“（表示不相信別人胡謅）得了吧！饒了我吧！”電影中的 Give her a break, it's hard being on your own for the first time. 意思是“別逼她了，第一次獨立生活是很難的。”

2. suck
