妙詞佳句，活學活用
1. make it
這是一個常用的短語，表示“及時到達，實現預定目標，做成一件事”等等。例如：We just made it for the movie. 我們正好趕上電影。本段中的 He won't be able to make it.意思就是“他不能來了。”
2. on one's way
這是口語里常用的一個片語，除了表示one one's way to（在去……的路上）的意思外，還可以表示“離開”，比如 She is on her way out the door. On your way 還可以單用，是一種命令的口氣，要求別人“走開，離開”。本段中的 He's on his way. 意思就是“他離開了”。
3. A couple of stitches
