Coffee has always been popular across Europe, but now coffee shop chains can be found all over Britain. In the the early morning rush hour commuters across the UK can often be seen clutching their cups of coffee as they head to work; it's seen as a good way to start the day and wake yourself up.

Drinks range from cappuccino to skinny lattes, to shots of espresso, and people drink coffee at home, at work and in cafes.

But will coffee ever take over from tea as the nation's favourite drink?
