Before facing hundreds of cameras, every debutante is given a special facial and a customized make-up with products sponsored by French perfume house, Guerlain. Founded in 1828, the house had its first major breakthrough in 1853 with the creation of Eau de Cologne Impériale for French Emperor Napoleon III and his wife Empress Eugénie. The association secured the house the title of His Majesty’s Official Perfumer, and marked the beginning of its history creating perfumes for other European royalty.
