The Changbai Mountains, also known as the Paektu Mountains, is the mountain range in Northeast China. They are also embraced by both the Manchu and Korean people as their sacred place of origin. The mountain range represents the mythical birthplace of the Manchu state and the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) founders. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
