On February 5, passenger throughput at Xinqiao Airport reached 20,951, the highest in the history of Hefei airports.

Many people are choosing to fly back after the Spring Festival holiday. Currently flights to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Taipei and Hong Kong have very few tickets left. Other flights to cities like Beijing, Chengdu and Chongqing are much easier to get, but have few discounts. Beginning February 12, flight tickets to Qingdao can be bought for only 98 yuan ($16.13).

Passengers looking for lower prices are advised to buy tickets for flights after February 10, as there will be greater discounts.
