Chen Pei graduated from Zhejiang University with a Bachelor of Science and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Peking University. He currently serves as president of Beijing's Zhongsou Network Technology Co Ltd.

Chen, a renowned expert in search engine technology and personalized technology, is the chief designer of a third generation of intelligent Chinese search engines.

In 2003, he launched China Search Alliance and with 5000 Alliance websites joining, he created the world's largest Chinese search engine. Chen is also an advocate of personal portal technology and applications, launching personal portal platforms based on search technology, personalized polymerization and micro-aggregation.

He is the first to deploy the technology in commercial areas around the globe and put forward the concept of "SQ" - the ability to search for information.
