Zhongguancun Science Park recently hosted the China International Cyber Culture Exposition -- Application (Serious) Game Innovation Summit.

The summit awarded prizes recognizing the Public Security Community Game, EQ Recharge Station and six other excellent games. The winners were selected from almost 100 applications in fields such as military affairs, education, medical treatment, emergency rescue and others.

A "serious game" is a game designed for a primary purpose other than entertainment.

Zhongguancun's Haidian Park will take four steps to develop its animation industry. First, it will establish a publication alliance to promote cooperation among the application game industry and other industries.

Second, the park plans to compile the China Application Game Development White Papers.

Third, it will continue hosting the Application Game Summit. The event is held every four years and has become a branding activity and meeting platform for the cultural and creative industry.

In addition, the science park also plans to build an animation base at Zhongguancun South Street, based on the Middle Sea Creative Animation Incubator.
