In 2004, the global finance monitoring and supervision effort focused on continuous international and regional cooperation, with more consideration in efficiency, steadiness and transparency in the supervision actions. Adjustments in the mechanism were made in various countries and in every field of the finance sector, aiming at fitting in with the internationally unified framework and standard. An overview of 2004 is made in this paper on the supervision performance of banks, bonds and insurance sectors in terms of supervision features across the world. The study also makes a prospect on the development trend in this field.
