Abstract: Since the reform and opening up, China has set up open economic and technological development zones, high-tech industrial parks and other open carriers, all of which have played an important role in China's economy and society. With the economic globalization and the enhancement of China's comprehensive strength, more and more enterprises “go out”. Among them, the overseas trade and economic cooperation zones as the carrier, economic and technological development zone’s "going out" as a whole or the leading enterprises’ "going out" with the industrial chain, and a full range of economic and trade cooperation with the host country, have achieved certain results. The research team of the Research Department of Foreign Economic Relations in the Development and Research Center of the State Council inspected the China-Egypt Suez economic and trade cooperation zone and visited the Economic Bureau of Egypt Suez special economic zone and so on. Based on the investigation of Thai Rayong Industrial Park, Cambodian Sihanoukville special economic zone and so on, this report regards Suez economic and trade cooperation zone as a case study, discusses the development of overseas trade and economic cooperation zones, the opportunities and challenges, and how to play a role in promoting economic and trade cooperation zone, to promote the construction of “The Belt and Road”.
